Reetz Farms

A farm underwater

For five generations the Reetz Family has farmed South of Webster, South Dakota. The Reetz’s homesteaded in 1891. 100 years later, what started out as a small slough flooded into the heart of Reetz Farms. Due to heavy rainfall and brutal winters, the slough had turned into an 800 acre body of water. The family moved 18 buildings out of the water, including three houses out of the area. The Reetz family is known for their longstanding roots in agriculture and community involvement. Their presence in the area dates back many years, with family members operating Reetz Farms. Riley Reetz still farms the surrounding area with his father Jamie Reetz and grandfather Lyle Reetz. The Reetz’s are avid outdoorsmen and enjoy all aspects of hunting, fishing, and golf.
